The Work Ordered Day
Infinity House, often called Clubhouse, focuses on a “Work Ordered Day”. The work-ordered day engages members and staff together, side-by-side, in the running of the Clubhouse and focuses on strengths, talents and abilities of every individual.

Clubhouse work is completed with the goal of enhancing the Clubhouse community, increasing members, and maintaining the building, operations, and safety.

The Clubhouse is open 8am-4pm at least five days a week, matching a typical work week. Each day begins with a 10:15 am meeting designed to share information about responsibilities and goals of the Infinity House for that day. Members volunteer for responsibilities within the Clubhouse in order for everyone to meet those goals. Staff are present throughout the day to assist members as needed.

All work in the Clubhouse is designed to help members regain self-worth, purpose and confidence therefore members have the opportunity to participate in all the work of the Clubhouse which ranges from:
-
administration
-
research
-
enrollment and orientation
-
outreach
-
hiring
-
training and evaluation of staff
-
public relations
-
advocacy and evaluation of Clubhouse effectiveness

Daily responsibilities can include clerical, food services, maintenance, bookkeeping, tours, housekeeping, gardening, yard work, and assisting in planning special activities and projects. The Work Ordered Day mirrors a typical business day; all responsibilities are completed daily with encouragements and assistance from a few staff on site.
Learn New Things
Food Preparation
Lunch is provided and served daily at the clubhouse. This gives members the opportunity to learn how to prepare a variety of types of foods and entrees, as well as the importance of maintaining a clean kitchen and food storage environment.
Clubhouse Maintenance
Members take part in maintaining computers, furniture, and even some appliances. In doing so individuals can learn skills that promote self-sufficiency and independence, and over time build confidence.
Gardening & Yardwork
There are several landscaped areas on the clubhouse grounds where members can learn about yard maintenance and team work. Tasks are completed in groups where each members contribution is valued.
